Our sleep  and relaxing journey drives our mission to becoming a more responsible brand. With GOTS Certified organic cotton, Fairtrade certified working conditions and carbon offset transportation, Maison By Aureliean champions sustainable, ethical textiles.

We design in London and manufacture most of our products in-house. We only use manufacturing suppliers that hold the below certifications:

Quality Materials

  • Manufacturing partner is certified with the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) which holds strict regulations on fair working conditions, wages and rights for staff, and are regularly audited.
  • Our  individual garment bags  are 100% plant based and biodegradable.

  • Our materials are certified with OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 label — which means every thread, button and material used has been tested for harmful substances and that the article therefore is harmless for human health.

  • Products made from either 100% organic cotton, mulberry silk or vegan silk and tailored in a fair trade tailoring unit using eco-friendly mulberry silk and low impact AZO free dyes.
  • Organic cotton printed by hand using the traditional craft of block printing.
  • No new plastics across our supply chains.

 Our Impact, Slow Fashion and Size Inclusive

As we grow as a company we remain true to our values and design intentions. What we wear impacts our quality of sleep and the planet. A contributor to emissions is over production and waste. Maison By Aureliean is positive about making a positive impact, we champion slow fashion and only produce small and considered production runs. We prioritize using responsible organic and natural fibers that look and feel good on your skin and are better for the environment and we champion inclusivity, and want all women to feel luxurious wearing our pieces, our women’s pyjamas  come in sizes XXS to XXL.

In addition to our careful fabric selection we  are a fair employer dedicated to paying fair wages, supporting female farmers, and empowering local communities.

  

Manufacturing

We manufacture in-house in London which helps reduce our carbon footprint and also supporting the British fabric and textile industry. We partner with overseas female family-run mils and factories located in Portugal, Italy and India. We personally visit our overseas manufacturing every year to ensure they meet our quality and audit requirements as stated above. 

Packaging 

Our packaging is 100%  sustainable and made from recyclable materials. Our polybags are biodegradable.

Our branded stickers  are created by a company that is carbon neutral on vegetable ink. The stickers themselves are 100% compostable/biodegradable, and every time a business makes an order, they plant a tree and register it with Global Forest Watch.

 

Community & Charitable Giving

We are members of 1% for the Planet donating at least 1% of annual sales directly to environmental organizations.
